Google said Oct. 21 that it is bringing [video tile pairing to Meet on phones](https://workspaceupdates.googleblog.com/2026/10/video-tile-pairing-is-now-available-on-Google-Meet-mobile-to-improve-accessibility-for-users-and-language-interpreters.html?ref=thevoiceofenablingtechnology.pmbofficial.com), letting Deaf and hard of hearing users keep a sign language interpreter's video next to the person they are interpreting.

**What's new:** Paired participants appear side by side and are highlighted together when speaking, with captions attributed to both. The feature [started rolling out on Android on Oct. 12](https://workspaceupdates.googleblog.com/2026/10/video-tile-pairing-is-now-available-on-Google-Meet-mobile-to-improve-accessibility-for-users-and-language-interpreters.html?ref=thevoiceofenablingtechnology.pmbofficial.com), and [iOS rollout begins Nov. 2](https://workspaceupdates.googleblog.com/2026/10/video-tile-pairing-is-now-available-on-Google-Meet-mobile-to-improve-accessibility-for-users-and-language-interpreters.html?ref=thevoiceofenablingtechnology.pmbofficial.com).

**Why it matters:** On a small screen, an interpreter's tile can easily get pushed off view when people join or speak. Losing sight of the interpreter means losing the conversation. Pairing keeps access steady for the whole meeting.

**Who it affects:** Deaf and hard of hearing Meet users, sign language interpreters, employers and service providers who host accessible virtual meetings.

**What's next:** iPhone and iPad users should see the option starting Nov. 2.
